Thought of the Day:Faith in the divine plan turns uncertainty into a sacred adventure.
In today's fast life, everything has to be fast. Bathing is urgent, hair drying is even more urgent. As it is late for office or college, most of the girls and boys take a "hair dryer" immediately after taking a bath.
Just put the switch, hot air will come and hair will be dry in five minutes. "Wow! Time left" we sigh. But, do you know that the 10 minutes of time that we save, one day will make us spend years in the hospital?
In our grandmother's or mother's time, they used to put on "Sambrani Smoke" without fail after taking a head bath. Today's generation has cornered it as "old custom" or "superstition". But tell the truth? Don't put Sambrani and perfume on your hair, it is the "master plan" of our elders to prevent headaches, sinuses and migraines.
In this battle between hair dryer and sombrero, who will ultimately win in terms of health? Here is its complete science.
Hair dryers release artificial heat very quickly on the hair through an electric coil. There are two serious problems here:

Sambrani is not a cigo stick at Sumne Market. It is a special wood glue (Benzoin Resin). The dense smoke that comes when it is placed on the skin has wonderful medicinal properties.
If moisture remains in the head, neck and behind the ears after a head bath, it turns into "Kapha". Next it causes sinusitis and terrible migraine headaches.
Sambrani smoke has a very subtle moving quality. When we apply this smoke to the head, it not only penetrates the hair, but also penetrates deep into the pores of the scalp and completely “absorbs” the water there. If the hair dryer evaporates the water, the sambrani will absorb the water. This is the biggest difference between the two.
Fungus and bacteria grow very fast in moist or wet areas. If the head is not dried properly, dandruff, itchiness or lice will start in the head.
Sambrani smoke is a powerful “Natural Antiseptic”. As soon as this smoke hits the head, the invisible microscopic germs and bacteria die. This prevents the head from smelling bad after a bath.
There are thousands of nerves in our head. These nerves are cooled when the head is bathed. Immediately applying the heat of the dryer can shock the nerves.
But the smoke of Sambrani is warm. It gives a soothing sensation to the nerves and slowly improves the blood circulation. This reduces the stress of the mind and gives a good night's sleep. This is what is charged thousands of rupees as "Aromatherapy" in today's spas.
In our tradition, Sambrani is compulsorily put on bath for new mothers. Because after delivery, their body is weak, there is a chance of getting cold or fever soon. This smoke keeps their body warm and increases their immunity. This prevents cold from mother to baby.
"We have no fire, no fire, how can we put it?" That is everyone's question. Don't worry, ready-made "Sambrani Cups" are available in the market as per the current times.
It doesn't matter if you are busy all week and use a hair dryer. But once a week, at least on Sunday, give your head and hair a Sambrani blessing.
Hair should grow black and thick, not by changing the shampoo, but by changing the drying method. No modern technology can match this "natural technology" of our elders.
Note:This article is based on Traditional Ayurvedic System and Home Remedy information. Sambrani (Benzoin resin) has been proven to have natural antiseptic, moisturizing and calming properties. However, people with asthma, dust allergy or smoke allergy should be careful while using it. Avoid breathing problems due to excessive smoke.
